Video: "Weird Al" Yankovic - Perform This Way
Apparently "Weird Al" wanted to release this parody of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" song on his next album. He said he sought her permission to do so, but alas she turned him down.
So he was forced to release the video on Youtube for free and tell the world they were going to be deprived of his genius. Suddenly her manager says she never actually heard the song and now that she has, she loves it and has given him her blessing to go forward with his original plans.
I call Bullshit on this one.
I think Weird Al has always been a master at getting people to talk about his songs. Some of his stuff has been absolutely hilarious in the past, but others have been total duds. To me, this one falls in the latter category.
But you gotta give it to Al. After all these years, he still knows how to generate mega publicity for basically ripping off other artists' work!
I only wish I could learn how he does it! :)

Tiger and Todd
It has come to my attention that a very close friend of mine thinks I'm making up the fact that I saw Tiger Woods make a birdy directly in front of my face. Well, it's true and here's the proof. It was at last weekend's Master's Tournament in Augusta, Georgia on the 6th green where I sat all day sweating bullets in the blistering sun. For some reason, the folks at CBS chose not to feature me on their broadcast very much. My personal belief is that they have something against guys with funny arms, but what are you going to do? Lucky for me, I was able to find this tiny little clip where I can be seen along the edge of the green after Tiger sank the putt. I shot up out of my chair when he made it, but apparently no one else did. You can see me embarrassingly sit down and then start doing a gentle golf clap before I'm cut out of the picture again.
