"As for worrying about what other people might think - forget it. They aren't concerned about you. They're too busy worrying about what you and other people think of them."

Why Not to Drive When You're Tired

Reason to not drive tired: Feeling Lucky?

This accident happened north of Deer Lodge, Montana on I-90. The driver was a 22 year-old guy heading east to college. He had left central Washington early in the morning. He fell asleep at the wheel and drifted off the shoulder hitting the end of the section of guard rail.

The guard rail came through the right headlight, engine compartment, firewall, glove box, passenger seat, rear seat and exited out the drivers side rear window. That's 120 linear feet of guard rail that threaded through the suburban.

There were no passengers and the driver was not injured.

I am sharing this as a reminder to all about NOT driving when you shouldnt be behind the wheel (drinking, texting, distracted or just plain tired).

Rebuild a Jeep under 4 minutes

These soldiers are pretty talented!  They can take down and rebuild a jeep in under 4 minutes!  Of course, it would have saved them a lot more time had they just not taken it apart in the first place.  But that probably wouldn't have been nearly as interesting!

Video: Katy Perry Dresses too "Racy" for her Sesame Street Clip!

And she's banned from the show!
Has anyone ever been banned from Sesame Street before?

If you ask me, people are becoming a little too prudish!

Minnesota Twins vs Oakland Athletics
September 19, 2010

On Friday night, I drove down to Des Moines to Hang with my Home Boys.  Just like in high school, we shared two beers and then acted silly for the rest of the night.

Shawna was our bartender for part of the night and took real good care of us.  Then we repaid her the favor by acting loud and obnoxious.

We did enjoy having the chance to see Krazy Kory's little girl, Harli.  We don't have a nickname for her quite yet, but I'm thinking that something including the name Davidson would probably be appropriate.

The reason for our trip was to get together for a nice golf game.  It was cold and rainy so I had a tough time getting motivated to play the game.  I did have fun driving the cart, though.

Kory shot the ball pretty well.  Jason and Ron did good also.  Let's just say I picked up the rear.

On Sunday, we went to see the smoking hot Minnesota Twins play the Oakland Athletics.  I think we brought the home team some bad Karma, though, because they lost the game 6-2.  Oh, well.  We have no plans of going to see them in the World Series, so they should do just fine when they get there.

This was our first time going to a game at Target Field.  People were so excited to get our new stadium because we were finally going to get to see outdoor baseball again!  Because there's nothing better than sitting outside in Minnesota in the middle of September!  It was so warm!!!

The reason we went to the game today was because it was Have a Heart Day and we wanted to support Camp Odayin which was being honored at the game.  Since the tickets are such a hot item, we didn't get to sit with everyone from Camp Odayin, but were luckiy enough to bump into Camp Director Sara at the snack bar.  She's such a nice lady!

Wake Up, Kitty Cat!

Quote of the Week --- September 19,2010

"There comes a special moment in everyone's life; a moment for which that person was born. That special opportunity, when he seizes it, will fulfill his mission-a mission for which he is uniquely qualified. In that moment, he finds greatness. It is his finest hour."

-- Winston Churchill, British prime minister

Law Enforcement

The LAPD, The FBI, and the CIA are all trying to prove that they are the best at apprehending criminals. The President decides to give them a test. He releases a rabbit into a forest and each of them has to catch it.

The CIA goes in. They place animal informants throughout the forest. They question all plant and mineral witnesses. After three months of extensive investigations they conclude that rabbits do not exist.

The FBI goes in. After two weeks with no leads they burn the forest, killing everything in it, including the rabbit, and they make no apologies. The rabbit had it coming.

The LAPD goes in. They come out two hours later with a badly beaten bear. The bear is yelling: “Okay! Okay! I'm a rabbit! I'm a rabbit!”

This place seems very modern, perhaps like something you'd see in a swanky high rise condo or town house near the city, right?

HERE'S THE INCREDIBLE PART!!

This 1 bedroom loft apartment was built inside a 1940's grain bin.

It was renovated into this upscale unit after it was purchased and relocated to the grounds of the Gruene Homestead Inn in New Braunfels, TX??

If that's not creative craftsmanship, then I don't know what is.

I couldn't help but share this because it is so cool!

Would you have thought to do that with old silos on a farm?

Girls Going Out

Daughter: My friends and I want to go out tonight.

Mother: Where are ya'll going?

Daughter: To the cowboy bar on the edge of town.

Mother: I don't think you should. There's been a lot of trouble at that place. I heard there was a fight there last weekend, and several people got hurt.

Daughter: But mom!! Please!! It'll be okay.

Mother: No, your life is more important than going out.

Daughter: But Tiny is going with us...

Mother: Well, in that case, it should be okay.. Ya'll have fun!
