VARS: Insider Trading Scandal Could Have Far Reaching Impact
Expert networks are designed to connect hedge funds and investors with corporate experts, and they exist in a number of industries. Todd Swank, vice president of marketing at system builder Nor-Tech in Burnsville, Minn., has experience with expert networks in the IT business.
"I've been part of those kinds of research companies before," Swank said. "You feel bad for people who get sucked into it, because I see how it could happen. If people work with some of these companies, they're in high demand, they can make a lot of money doing that. One day you get a call asking if you'd be willing to set up a consulting session, asking all sorts of questions that you know the answers to very well. They're being taken advantage of by these research firms."
However, Swank says experts are warned in specific terms that revealing industry secrets is against the law. "Companies offer training where you'll told exactly what you are not allowed to say and do, especially at a public company," Swank said. "So they're not completely naive either. But I can see people getting into an organization, and not knowing where that fine line is."

Greatest Christmas Decoration Ever!!!!!
"Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down.
First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.
Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard."

On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to get out of the Arctic North and head to Washington state for a couple of days. When I arrived, it was cloudy and rainy and 50 degrees outside. I think I was the only person in Seattle that was raving about what great weather they were having!
I headed to downtown Bellevue to join with several other representatives from different Technology Distributors and Computer Manufacturers to meet with Microsoft executives and discuss the state of the technology industry. For some reason, Microsoft is all worked up about Apple and Google Android, but I'm not sure why.
There's a new man in charge of the US OEM team at Microsoft and his name is Peter Han. He's a fascinating individual and literally knows more about the computer industry than most anyone on the planet! It was fun spending some time with him and trying to use his knowledge to figure out where this silly business is going.
I was nervous flying back on Friday night because I heard we had a massive blizzard coming to Minnesota. Luckily I arrived before it hit because it was a doozy! More than 20 inches hit Prior Lake in the following 24 hours which was awfully heavy!! At least Miss Sheri tells me it was awfully heavy. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to lift any.
At first Sunny had no desire to go out in the snow to go to the bathroom, but Miss Sheri kindly carved him his own personal pee tunnel which he really seems to like. We're happy with it as well because now he isn't going to the bathroom on our back porch any more!
The boys loved all the new snow and the opportunity to create new snow tunnels in the yard. Here's a video of them breaking through the top of their latest creation:
On Sunday, the snow stopped, the plows came out, and we made our first venture to the Outback Steakhouse to celebrate Grandma Linda's birthday.
You know, she doesn't look too bad for just turning 93 years old! Happy Birthday, Mom!!!

thanks a mil for the link, I don't know why I didnt come across that
page when looking up Garver. You must be so proud being able to say you have a Chris Garver tattoo & of course at the same time he is probably proud to say he has tattooed the famous Short Arm Guy ha ha. I'll let you know if I have any luck.
I was just on your website & seen the comedy sketch with your
son Luke, its brilliant, he must be one of the most adorable/funny kids in America,also I had no idea he had a heart problem, I hope all his tests go well.
You guys lead such an action packed life, would you ever plan on
coming to Ireland? If you do, you have to let me try & arrange a stand up spot for you in the International Bar Dublin, I reckon they'd love you there, us Irish we love our comedy & comedians who can make fun of themselves(as well as others too ha ha)
