Nice Email of the Week --- December 13, 2009

I CAME ACROSS YOUR WEBSITE WHILE BROWSING AND I MUST SAY THAT YOUR STORY IS TRULY INSPIRATIONAL. I TOO HAVE AN ARM THAT IS SHORTER THAN THE OTHER BUT NOT BY BIRTH. MY DEFECT HAPPEND BECAUSE OF THE AFTER AFFECTS OF MY MOTHERS DRUG USE WHEN SHE WAS PREGNANT WITH ME. I'M ADOPTED NOW. AND LIKE YOU I HAD TO DEAL WITH KIDS ASKING ME WHAT HAPPEND TO ME. IT'S A HARD THING TO DEAL WITH WHEN YOUR YOUNGER AND THE STARES THAT ADULTS GIVE YOU MAKES YOU WISH YOU COULD FIX IT, THEN AS I GOT OLDER I REALIZED THAT I'M DIFFERENT FOR A REASON AND A SURVIVOR. YOU SEE PEOPLE ON THE NEWS THAT SURVIVE A BOAT SINKING OR A GUN SHOT BUT HOW MANY PPL DO YOU KNOW THAT SURVIVE THEIR FIRST FEW INFANT MONTHS ON I.V'S IN THE HOSPITAL FOR MONTHS? I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU BEING COMFORTABLE WITH THE WAY YOU LOOK MAKES ME FEEL COMFORTABLE AND A LITTLE LESS ALONE. THANKS.-ASHTEN FROM SEATTLE
