Minnesota Timberwolves Vs LA Clippers
Shortarmguy Diary Update for November 21, 2010
On Wednesday night, I went to see the Minnesota Timberwolves game with my co-workers, Nick and Chad, and Chad's lovely lady, Brandi, who is a huge Wolves Fan. I knew we were going to be in for a good time!
I was really excited for the game, because it was my first chance to see new Timberwolves Superstar, Michael Beasley, in action!
There was actually a lot of great, young talent playing that night including Beasley, Wolves forward, Kevin Love, and the Clipper's Blake Griffin. These guys are so much better than the stiffs we went to see last year!
It was an awesome game with an awesome finish!
Michael Beasley sank the game winning basket!
Here's a video I made that showcases all of the night's action!
Whenever I see Billionaire Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor, I always try to get as close to him as I can just in case a million bucks or two happens to drop out of his pocket. He didn't seem to be very happy on this particular evening though. It really made me wonder, "What exactly was on that piece of paper that he's tucking into his jacket?"
On Saturday morning, we woke up extra early to go join our Boy Scout friends as they unloaded this year's shipment of Christmas wreaths and trees to the Boy Scout Christmas Tree Lot.
I'd never seen a Truck Load of Christmas Wreaths before but must say I was mighty impressed with the amount that they brought! Especially since it was our responsibility to unload and sort all of them. It was awfully cold to be hauling that many wreaths!
Avery does real good at manual labor. He's lucky to have taken after his mother in that category.
Luke on the other hand has a knack for staying near his buddies during stuff like this and looking busy, but hauling stuff isn't really his thing. In that regard, he's a Chip off the Old Block of his dear old dad!
Unfortunately for us, we had to leave the tree lot before the trees arrived because we had to take Avery to his basketball draft. He played hard for an hour while the 6th grade coaches made their selections of players. We're very excited to have the same coach we did last year and are looking forward to another great basketball season!
On Saturday night, we went to the Mall of America to eat at CRAVE with our good friends, Cathy and Jeff. Mmmmm Boy, was that some excellent food!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!
