I heard a thought-provoking story I'd like to share:
An elderly Chinese man had become so feeble that he could no longer care for himself. His son wanted to rid himself of the burden of caring for his father. So he decided to build a box for his father with the plan to take his father up a tall cliff, put him in the box, and push the box over the cliff. When he arrived at the top of the cliff, he began to help his father into the box. His father said "just push me off of the cliff without the box, because your son will need the box for you".
